Algérie Télécom, the incumbent telecommunications operator, has over 30 years experience and presence on the national territory in the field of satellite telecommunications. On July 2004, ALGERIE TELECOM launched a new structure so called ALGERIE TELECOM SATELLITE (ATS) with a status of Directorate-General awaiting its transfer to a subsidiary.


On July 29th, 2006, the subsidiary called ATS ReVsat is created under the chairmanship of Mr Mahieddine MAACHE, Chairman and CEO. This event that constitutes one of the major key parts of the overall development strategy of ALGERIE TELECOM, was celebrated under the high patronage of Minister of Information and Communication Technology.

As the satellite represents the privileged instrument for telecommunications, various specialized services have been developed, amongst the VSAT service (Very Small Aperture terminal), particularly intended for corporations seeking to connect geographically dispersed sites.
This technology constitutes the main activity of ALGERIE TELECOM SATELLITE that possesses technical and managerial skills able to undertake studies, installation and maintenance of equipments and to assist companies and administrations in developing their networks.

The organization of ALGERIE TELECOM SATELLITE includes a Directorate-General with six Central Directions around a Directorate-General and seven Regional

Directions (ALGIERS, ORAN, OUARGLA, BECHAR, SETIF, CONSTANTINE and ANNABA) as well as a teleport at LAKHDARIA.

In order to be closer to its clients and to effectively address their grievances, ATS is present in the hotspots of the country.
