The health sector is a strategic sector with more than 3,000 hospitals that employs about 8,000 doctors. Few of them are specialized doctors, according to the statistics there one specialist doctor available for every 1413 each citizens.

The education sector is also a strategic one that has the second most important budget after the defense, it huge sector that represent more than 8 million students in 27 000 educational institutions (schools and other).
A series of programs and reforms were launch by the Algerian state to improve the citizen’s life and to improve two sectors, health and education. The major challenge was to introduce the information technologies in each school and in each hospital, even if this one is far from everything. This only way to achieve this challenge is by building à strong network infrastructure.

Considering Algeria’s size and its specific geography (mainly desert in south), the only way to build this network, and give all the citizens all over the country the same chances is to use the satellite.
In this Project, we will provide:

  • ~ 27 000 VSAT terminals to insure the connectivity with a high level of availability between all schools, local and central administrations;
  • ~ 4000 VSAT terminals to insure the connectivity with a high level of availability between all hospital, clinics and local and central administrations;
  • Two (02) Datacenters to store, process and share information in a secure and uninterrupted manner.
