  • The standard DVB-RCS (Digital Video Broadcast - Return Channel System), assisted by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), authorizes a broadband access service through satellite.
  • This standard describes the two-way traffic of data transmission over a satellite. The satellite terminal of the customer can receive a standard transmission of DVB sent by the main satellite station according to DVB-RCS.
  • The standard allows transporting the IP protocol, but also takes into account numerous protocols of routing (RIP, IGMP) and transporting (RTP, UDP, TCP).
  • The transmission since the client installation to this station can also be sent through the same antenna. The transmission technology uses the technique of signal processing MF-TDMA (Multi-Frequency Time Division Multiple Access), allowing to share the capacity of the link between different client sites.
  • The communication is done between the terminal (S.I.T) and the central station (HUB) in 2 ways with: a downstream channel (from Hub to Terminal) >>> Up to 45M.
  • A return channel (from SIT to HUB) >>> Up to 2.

The DVB-RCS Platform has been installed and commissioned at  LAKHDARIA
